Recently, RealThing Ai has joined the National Databank as a community partner organisation. As a member of the National Databank, we’re now able to offer free mobile data packages for those in need, that qualify for the scheme.
We serve a community with diverse needs, and we hope that this could be a helpful resource to those who have difficulties affording their internet connection. We’re happy to be part of the efforts to alleviate data poverty in the UK.
What Is Data Poverty?
In a society that’s increasingly digital, data poverty is affecting millions in the UK. Those experiencing data poverty are unable to afford a safe secure connection to the internet at home or away from home.
With climbing expenses being at crisis, data poverty becomes an even greater barrier. Data poverty prevents people from going online to do everyday personal necessities like shopping for essentials, accessing work related activities, or getting educational and training resources that could lead to job opportunities.

The databank has been built with support from Virgin Media O2, Vodafone and Three. Through partnering with local community organisations, they are able to distribute data packages for people in need.
